The seed starter is a Jiffy you can get at any garden center. The seeds packets are all generic. The “instruction” sheet is a laminated photocopy. The CDRom is a couple cheaply and amateurly created Word documents that are poorly designed and hard on the eyes. Also included on the CDRom are several webpage links. The graphic on the cd is the only tolerable image. The font choice as well as font size make the trite text of the “Culinary Herb eBook” completely unbearable. It goes on and on about a lot of unimaginative and uninformative drivel. It is clearly someone’s home business attempt. I feel most of the cost went to the specially printed cardboard box the “kit” came in.

The pleading eyes of my young child excited to start sprouting the seeds, coupled with the fact I didnt want to pay return shipping or make extra trips to the garden center and post office, left me little opportunity to return it. It was 100 degrees out so I decided to suck up the rip off, stay inside and cool, and have some play time with my child.

$15 would have been a perfect price for this kit. With shipping, I paid almost $40. WAY too much. I liked the idea, that’s why I ordered it but it falls short of the price it is sold at. There are also no markers which would have been extremely helpful when trying to make 36 starters with 13 different seed packets.

I love this product…helped immensely with keeping me organized. My only complaint is that the lid doesn’t fit tightly and it dried out often.

I planted seeds in the pod containers and enclosed them in the greenhouse container.
After two weeks, only one seed sprouted.
I am now trying to grow them in my own containers.
    Complete waste of money.
